When it comes to pool resurfacing, time and methodology matter. With the correct process, premium materials, and proper curing, your pool will be protected and looking pristine for many years to come. Achieving a durable and flawless finish requires four essential stages: 

  1. Surface Preparation 
    The entire surface must be diamond-ground to remove the existing coating and create the proper profile for the new system. This step ensures strong adhesion and prevents future peeling or delamination. 
  2. Repair of Substrate Defects 
    Any visible cracks, voids, or surface imperfections must be repaired with compatible materials. Proper repairs are crucial to ensure structural integrity and a smooth final finish. 
  3. Application of the Coating System 
    First, a primer is applied to seal the surface and promote bonding. 
    Then, 2 to 3 coats of epoxy pool coating are applied, depending on the system requirements and desired finish. 
  4. Curing Time 
    The system must dry and cure for 5 to 7 days. This stage is mandatory to guarantee chemical resistance, UV stability, and the long-term durability of the new coating.
